Captain’s Drive-In Day – A Great Start to the 2026 Season at Balcarrick Golf Club
Balcarrick Golf Club officially kicked off the 2026 golfing season on Saturday 7th March with our much-anticipated Captain’s Drive-In Day – and what a fantastic occasion it was.
Members gathered in great numbers to welcome our new Captains, Austin Seagrave and Patricia Daly, as they began their year leading the club. There was a wonderful sense of excitement and community around the clubhouse and first tee, with plenty of members turning out to support the traditional opening drives that mark the official start of the golfing calendar.
Both Captains stepped up to the tee in style, sending their drives down the fairway to the applause and cheers of those gathered. The ceremony is always a special moment in the club’s year, and this year was no exception, with a great atmosphere and a real buzz around Balcarrick throughout the day.
Captain’s Drive-In Day is one of the most enjoyable traditions in the club, bringing members together after the winter months to celebrate the start of a new season. It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout, with members catching up, sharing a few laughs, and looking ahead to the many competitions, social events and memorable rounds of golf that lie ahead in 2026.
The day set the perfect tone for the season to come, and we wish Austin and Patricia every success during their year as Captains.
